Why Indian team needs a new captain in T20I cricket?

Suryakumar Yadav is the one of the best batters in T20I cricket and he is the current captain of Indian team in this format but now he is also struggling in this format because he looks out of touch in every match but in the recently concluded Asia Cup tournament he looked very out of touch which is not good for Indian cricket team. Suryakumar Yadav was once a that type of batter who loves to play sweep shots against spinners but now teams are taking his wickets by setting the field for this shot. Suryakumar Yadav is averaging only 18.33 in T20I cricket since becoming the captain in T20I format but you will not see any journalist who will ask the question on Suryakumar Yadav performance because nowadays every sports journalist want to be in good books of a cricket player because they know that if they are in the good books of the cricketers it will be great because players will give some exclusive information regarding team and also players will give interviews to journalists. Indian team needs a leader like Hardik Pandya who performs very well in Whiteball format and he was the vice-captain of Indian team in T20I cricket till ICC Men's T20I World Cup final 2024 and after the final he was going to be named as the captain of Indian team in T20I format but the new Head coach of Indian team selected Suryakumar Yadav as a captain in T20IS. In this Asia Cup Suryakumar Yadav flopped very badly and opposition teams were taking wicket very easily like he is a lower order batter but Suryakumar Yadav was busy in giving lectures in press conferences and Indian media covered this things but they didn't asked questions to Suryakumar Yadav on his batting performance in the Asia Cup 2025. Indian team would've won this Asia Cup tournament without Suryakumar Yadav because they were strong enough and it would be great if Suryakumar would've not played this tournament because he wasted the place of one good batter in the tournament. The so called best batter in T20I format has always struggled against big teams in Asia Cup and T20I World Cups, if you will see his performances in T20I world cups then you will see only one good knock against big teams in the whole big tournaments but he was never questioned by any media journalist because his name was Rohit Sharma or Virat Kohli who always faced criticisms in the whole cricketing career. If Indian cricket team wants to defend the title of ICC Men's T20I World Cup then they need to change the captain and team management should tell the Suryakumar to perform because there are many deserving players are waiting in the line to play for India. Suryakumar Yadav plays only T20I format and if he fails to perform in this format then his career will be also end like Odi format and Test format where he failed badly, in this tournament he did many drama like not handshaking with opoosition team and used political comments in the post match presentation and post match press conference while he also said there is no rivalry between India and Pakistan which is the disrespect for game because this rivalry is very old and many players became greats by performing in this great rivalry but Suryakumar Yadav dismissed this rivalry by saying Indian team is very ahead in this rivalry in the last 10 matche. Suryakumar Yadav needs to perform because he will be not remembered as a great batter because he has not achieved anything in Test and ODI formats and one thing he should do as a player and that is don't give unnecessary statements in the media and give the answers to critics by performing with the bat because performance is the key for every cricketer.
