How is Rohit Sharma changing the Indian cricket in International cricket?

 In cricket there is a term " Your captain should be the leader of your team not a dictator" and Rohit Sharma is a big example of this, he is not just a captain of team but also a leader of team. For youngster he is a big brother and for a senior player he is a friend, unlike other Indian captain he is not that type of captain who can take decisions without any consultation with team players but how is he changing the culture of Indian team in International cricket. 

Showing aggression with performance 

In cricket everyone always talk about aggression but for Rohit Sharma aggression means " all about your actions not about your reactions , the kind of batting you do and the kind of field placements you do, the kind of bowling you do " . Unlike other captains Rohit Sharma mindset is different and he always showed with his own performance what is the real meaning of performance, he is not that type of captain who will abuse and fight with other team players and he is not that type of captain who will jumping in the front of opposition players. Since taking the charge of Indian cricket team as a captain Rohit Sharma showed to world cricket how can you win matches without any unnecessary type of action. 

Play for win not for milestones 

Rohit Sharma is a captain who always wants to play for win and he is doing that thing but with different mindset and how can big he thinks about that , recently Test series against Bangladesh was an example where in second Test match when 2 days of play were spoiled due to rain and when match started on 4th day everyone thought match will be drawn but Rohit Sharma had other plans and what were those plans, Rohit Sharma plan was " he was thinking about scoring 400 runs in Test cricket and he was very eager to win that match and he showed that eagerness with own aggressive mindset where he hit 2 sixes in first 2 balls and after that rest is history. In 2022 T20I world Cup when Indian team knocked out in Semifinals after losing to England by 10 wickets, after losing that match Rohit Sharma told Dinesh Karthik " Indian team needs change approach in white-ball format " and after that Rohit Sharma take that charge where he started to play aggressively and he showed to Indian players" how to do batting with aggressive mindset and he is still doing this. 

Trust your players and give him chance to perform without any fear of failure

 Rohit Sharma leadership style is very different, his leadership skills makes him different from other captains. Rohit Sharma always trusted on players and he always gives chances to player to perform without any fear of failure, unlike other captains Rohit Sharma never judged any player on the basis of 1-2 failure. He became captain that time when Indian cricket was in unstable condition and also he faced many criticisms because Indian cricket fans were thinking Rohit Sharma is the reason that's why Virat Kohli resigned as Indian captain. Despite facing many outside things Rohit Sharma still performed and in 2024 he won an ICC tournament as captain . That ICC trophy came after 11 years of wait and Rohit Sharma was the main reason because he played two great knocks that time where everyone were thinking India can't win this tournament but Rohit Sharma changed everything. For focusing on Odi cricket and Test Cricket Rohit Sharma has announced his retirement from T20I cricket after Winning T20I world cup but he is still leading Indian cricket team in Odi and Test cricket.
