How Auckland Test 2014 changed the Indian Test cricket not Adelaide Test 2014?

Indian team is one of the best Test team and they are playing Test cricket with that mindset where they play for win not for drawn but this change doesn't came in 1-2 years, this change came in 2014 . But that change came in 2014 Auckland Test not in Adelaide Test 2014. In Auckland Test in the captaincy of MS Dhoni Indian team played an epic Test match where Indian team lost that match but that was the first step of change in mentality to play Test cricket. Many people hyped Adelaide Test because Virat Kohli who was the acting captain (later became new Test captain after MS Dhoni resignation) of Indian team in that match scored hundreds in both innings and also Indian media hyped very much. In Auckland Test Indian team were 300 behind after first innings and they had only two scenarios left, either give up or do fight and play for win. Newzealand were ahead of 300 Runs in that match after Indian team innings and Newzealand had a great chance to enforce follow-on to Indian team but they decided they will bat again in second innings and but they were no aware of the outcome of that decision and after that Indian bowlers destroyed the batting line-up of Newzealand and gave a chance to win the match to Indian team, target was 407 to win the match and Indian batters started very well and after one stage they were but Neil Wagner came and take two crucial wickets on no-balls but umpire didn't checked those no-balls and India lost the momentum in that match but Indian batters still showed fighting spirit but those were not enough to chase the target of 407 Runs. In Adelaide Test Indian team were in a great position after Day 3 of Test match but they lose their momentum because of own mistakes and they lose that match where everyone was in under control unlike Auckland Test. Auckland Test was a that kind of match where Indian team started to play Test cricket in a new direction and that changed Indian cricket in Test format for forever and that match will be remain one of the greatest matches in Indian cricket history.

Note

1. Indian Team played two Test matches in 2014 Test series in Newzealand where Indian team lost series by 0-1 and that loss came in first Test match in Auckland and Second match ends on a drawn.

2. In 2020 Indian team played another 2 match Test series is Newzealand but they lose very badly in those 2 matches in the captaincy of Virat Kohli where every Indian batters were very experienced.
