Indian cricket team is one of the strongest team in world cricket in Tests and ODIs, but in T20Is Indian cricket team looks like a failed team.
Why Indian Cricket team is a failed team in T20I cricket?
Playing T20I cricket with old template:
Indian cricket team is a very good team in tests and ODIs because they know how to play these two formats. But in T20I cricket they doesn't know how to play T20I cricket, Indian team is playing T20I cricket with old template. In T20I cricket powerplay is for only 6 overs, and those powerplay overs Indian will score only 45 runs. After powerplay Overs Indian team will start to play singles and dot balls between 7-15 overs. After 15 overs Indian team score will be around only 125 and after 15 overs of innings they will start to accelerate the innings and after 20 overs of innings Indian cricket team score will be only 175-180 . This is the mindset of Indian team when they playing T20I cricket.
Selecting those players who scored own runs:
Indian cricket team always selected those players in T20I team who will score own runs. These types of players will score own runs and they will putting pressure on other players . In T20I cricket where strike rate is very important, these players will scoring runs with strike rate of 130-135. In T20I cricket these types of players known as 'anchor' . In T20I cricket there is no need of 'anchor'. In T20I cricket strike rate of 130-135 is nothing. Indian cricket team will never select those players who score 40 runs in 16 balls they will select those players who will score 50 Runs in 39 balls, 77 Runs in 58 balls. England and Australia are successful teams in T20Is because they knows what is the need of T20I cricket. Indian cricket team is still playing with old mindset, Indian Cricket team needs to change their mindset. If they will not change their T20I mindset, they will never become a successful team in T20I Format. They've to take some tough decisions and if they will not take those decisions then they will never become a successful T20I team in the world cricket.
