Virat Kohli is considered one of the greatest batters in the world Cricket. His records speaks his performance in international cricket. But Virat Kohli batting style doesn't suit in T20 cricket. His records are very good in T20I but sometimes numbers can't shown the whole reality . Virat Kohli is playing T20I cricket with old template, that template is good for Virat Kohli but not for Team India. Indian cricket has played 5 T20I World Cup but Indian cricket hasn't able to win any Trophy. Virat Kohli has performed very well in those tournaments
Why Virat Kohli game is not suited for T20I cricket?
Virat Kohli game is not suited for T20I cricket because of his batting style in T20I cricket. Virat Kohli always takes time when he is playing T20I cricket, his batting style is simple " Play First 30 ball score 35 Runs and then start to accelerate the innings" . This approach is not acceptable in T20I cricket . Because you have only 120 balls in T20I cricket, if you will take 30 balls for accelerate the innings that means your team will lose the match. Virat Kohli can rotate strike in middle overs but when he tries to hit big shots he always feeling difficult. In 2022 ICC Men's T20I World Cup Indian Cricket Team reached into Semifinals but when Indian Cricket Team plays semifinal match against England, Virat Kohli approach was very bad in that match. Virat Kohli scored 50(40) and Indian Cricket Team able to score 169 runs in 20 overs and Indian Cricket Team lost that match by 10 wickets. Virat Kohli has won 2 "Player of the tournament" award for his batting performance in T20I World cups. He performed very well but team India hasn't won any trophy. Virat Kohli has scored good runs but he can't able to hit big shots from first ball, his batting approach has costed many matches to Indian Cricket Team.

Virat Kohli needs to play impactful innings in T20I cricket and this is the need of T20I cricket. Everyone will tell virat kohli has scored runs but no one will tell the strike rate of Virat Kohli.
